Introducing Arron Stewart and Dave Fellowes

Arron Stewart and Dave Fellowes

Last week we welcomed two new consultants; Arron Stewart and Dave Fellowes to our Whakatane offices for their induction. Even though our other consultants are spread around the country, each one of them made an effort to travel to our office to spend time with these new guys. Everyone, but me, as I was at home with Covid.

This week, however, it was my turn to (virtually) sit down with them to discuss what we should put in their bio on our website. I already knew their background as a result of our thorough recruitment process. But, it is still nice to have a chat about what we actually will be writing about them.

My first question is always “What makes you unique as a consultant? What skill do you have that you don’t find often in others?” To my surprise both answered exactly the same,

“I can walk into a complex operation and observe it for a while. I then see what is missing and what is there that should not be present. From these observations I know where the potential for improvement for this operation sits”

On reflection, this is a skill that all our Productivity People consultants have. This is the reason we only recruit people who have 20+ years of industry experience. Dave’s experience is in Fast-Moving Consumers goods working for Heinz Watties and Fonterra.  Arron’s is in Chemical Process Engineering, at various Christchurch operations. You can read more about Arron and Dave in their full bios.

The other reason why Arron Stewart and Dave Fellowes are a good fit for Productivity People, is their desire to transfer their skills to the client. Dave’s words:

“Nothing is as satisfying as seeing the boys on the floor blossom. “

Continuous Improvement with Productivity People it is all about your teams and their leaders. We are unique in our focus to engage with them to ensure your business owns the transformation to improve well beyond our engagement. We put your people at the heart of your business improvement systems.
