Helping Innovative Kiwi Companies Bring Back Export Dollars

work team around table

In his work supporting Trimax Mowing Systems with their Lean Programme, Productivity People Limited consultant Adrian Tighe recently visited their UK facility to train the team there led by Kieran Shillito in the foundations of Lean and Continuous Improvement, using the Airplane Game.

In four rounds of a simulated factory pumping out fighter planes of Lego, the team progressively improved its performance in terms of quality, lead time, throughput, waste, revenue, profit and engagement to unimaginable levels. From simple tools such as #5s, Teamwork, and Visual Management, to more complex improvement processes involving #kanban , Load Levelling, #pull and Single Piece Flow the participants learn by doing – and are engaged in the process of improvement.

Fantastic to see Trimax COO and Lean sponsor Gareth Fergus take a progressive stance to build the global capability of his team, and bring in much-needed export dollars into Aotearoa New Zealand.

What a pleasure it is to work with you all!
