David Hall has 20+ years’ of experience in food and beverage manufacturing both in the UK and New Zealand, including at Heinz and Montana Wines. His operations experience includes manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
David Hall has been involved with Lean at all levels in the organisation from Team Leaders upwards and has an exceptional ability to understand processes: “Everything is a process, if you can’t define your processes, you don’t know what you’re doing.”
When David was first exposed to ‘Lean’ concepts, the whole thing just clicked for him: “It lines up very well with the way my mind works – I like simplicity and detest waste in all its forms.” Since then he has become certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
David is a people person with strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead: “It’s largely about people, about empowering others to use the tools to drive their performance. I enjoy getting in amongst the team leaders and operators and helping them to “see”.
